I bought this in-line fan to pump warm air into a chase containing hot and cold water pipes. When outdoor temperatures drop below 15 degrees Fahrenheit, the air in the chase falls below freezing, so I was worried that the pipes would freeze. This little fan together with flex duct (I stripped away the outer insulation) solved the problem. It was shipped in the best possible way. The unit was on its on skid and the whole assembly on a secondary skid all wrapped in plastic. Two days after installation, the 12k unit quit working with a fan malfunction code. Efforts to contact Gree have been unsuccessful. The 9k unit continues to operate normally. Warranty/repair is a real issue.
