My neighbor just spent $3500.00 having a new furnace put on, which for me was out of the question...I bought your furnace (same size) for $575.00 delivered to my door. I'm 75 years old and had it installed and running in 6 hours complete. And that's for changing electric, gas lines, upper plenum and lower base. Purchased this HRV to replace our 22-year old Mayaire unit. Didn't realize until the HRV arrived that it must hang for installation. My original unit sat on a table I built for it. So it took quite a while to find the right spot to have good access for straps, and not interfere with existing duct lines for old unit. Nice looking European style radiator. Build quality is first class. Easy to install - bolt two brackets to the wall, snap the radiator in place and hook up your lines. Pre-finished in white paint. Only downside - the manufacturer only covers the edges in light cardboard and shrink wraps them in plastic. Item is not easy to ship and can be damaged as a result.

I installed the heater per the installation instructions...upgrading my natural gas line to 3/4" from the meter to the heater. I am satisfied with how quiet the unit is, but it is taking way too long to get any hot water. We have metered water and it is expensive. Any savings I may have gained from doing away with the pilot lite and storage tank will be more than lost letting the water run for 2 to 3 times longer than with a tanked water heater.
